The moment tax reform was announced, Democrats started crying it was a major tax break for big business that would never benefit lower and middle-class Americans.
Republicans responded by saying breaks were being given to big business as well as the regular tax cuts so these businesses could invest in jobs and their current employees.
Walmart literally destroyed the liberal narrative by announcing bonuses of up to $1,000 for its employees as well as a minimum wage increase to $11 per hour.
In addition, the company announced it will also expand maternity and parental leave benefits.
The new wage will be a dramatic increase for employees at the retail giant currently making the $9 minimum ($10 for employees that complete a training program) that is place for new employees.
Imagine coming home and telling your spouse you were getting anywhere from a 10 to 22 percent increase in pay. I think that would make a believer out of even the most devout liberal.
The changes are supposed to go into effect next month for Walmart employees.
Walmart is not the first company to announce major changes that benefit workers and they will surely not be the last.
Companies such as Wells Fargo, AT&T, and Boeing have already made announcements about huge bonuses or wage increases for workers due to the new tax code.
Keep in mind, not a single Democrat voted for this new tax code. Remember that when you head to the voting booths in 2018 and 2020.
