When Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was brought before a Senate committee to answer questions about immigration, she did not expect to be asked the same question over and over again, but that is what happened.
After numerous Democrat Senators wasted their time and our tax dollars by asking her what Trump said, word for word, and she responded she did not remember the exact wording, Senator Cory Booker sent on a 10-minute rant chastising both the Secretary and the President.
Booker lashed out at Secretary Nielson, never actually giving her a chance to respond, then finally told her, “Your silence and amnesia is complicity.”
I encourage you to watch the video below showing the questioning, as he suggests that both she and the President are racist.
This kind of insulting behavior would never be accepted by the media if the situation were reversed.
Can you actually imagine a male Republican Senator being allowed to grill a female Democrat and talk to her the way Booker talked to Nielsen?
Now, Nielsen is a tough cookie and can handle herself, but it goes to show the hypocrisy of the Democrats when they talk about Trump tough talking to females yet here is Booker doing the very same thing.
Republican National Committee Rapid Response Director Michael Ahrens addressed this very issue.
Ahrens stated, “Picture it. A male Republican senator spends his entire 10 minutes ‘mansplaining’ the female DHS Secretary about immigration policy, throws around the term ‘conscientious stupidity,’ yells at her the only time she tries to speak, and concludes his diatribe without even asking her to respond.”
Amazingly, and once again, Booker’s rant was based in fiction, as he stated, “The commander-in-chief, in an Oval Office meeting, referred to people from African countries and Haitians with the most vile and vulgar language.”
Let’s just assume Trump did use the language he is alleged to have used. He did NOT call the people of these countries that term, but rather the country itself. There is a BIG difference.
Another good point by Ahrens was, “Because the party affiliations were reversed, Derogatory Cory got nothing but praise form the selectively-outraged based he was clearly performing for yesterday.”
I think we can do without the childish nicknames, but his point is dead on.
Democrats are once again twisting something to suit their narrative as well as tossing around racism without repercussion.
