California Democrat Headed to Jail

Anti-gun Democrat gets caught for…

486

How many times have we said the Democrat party has become the “Do as I say, not as I do” party?

Former California State Senator Leland Yee has proven us right again.

Yee was recently sentenced to a five-year jail term for accepting bribes and trafficking in arms.

His crimes are of particular note because Yee was supposed to be one of the good guys in the Democrat party.

He was an adamant anti-gun activist and ran his campaigns on the premise he was above the corruptible politicians this county has seen for centuries.

Ironically, Yee was snagged in the same sting operation that wrangled up some of the most notorious gangsters in San Francisco, such as Chinatown’s Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow.

When he was being sentenced, Yee pleaded with the judge, “I hope that in your sentencing of me, you will look at my entire life and not just these crimes I have committed.”

Yee continued, “In the 67 years of my life, I have devoted much of it to the hard work of the community, to people here in San Francisco and in the state of California.”

Thankfully, the judge was not hearing any of it and dropped the hammer on Lee.

During the sentencing, Judge Breyer called Lee’s acts vile, and stated, “It must be that the public has trust in the integrity of the institution, and Mr. Yee, you abused that trust.”

While on the surface Yee seemed to be for the people and anti-gun, he was secretly taking money for local political favor.

Yee was also caught accepting $6,800 to bring overseas weapons here to the United States.

Just two years ago, during an interview with CBS, Yee stated, “It is extremely important that individuals in the state of California do now own assault weapons. I mean that it just so crystal clear – there is no debate, no discussion.”

Well, I guess that is only true if you are a law-abiding citizen, not a criminal lining his pockets and using Yee as a personal gun runner.
